Jon has an extremely diverse practice and clientele. While the bulk of his practice involves matters in New York and Connecticut , his practice extends to covering matters, in some capacity, on a national basis. His clients include private equity funds, hedge funds, publicly traded companies, private entities, insurance companies and wealthy individuals. His practice includes business advisory, crisis and risk management, and outside general counsel services; insurance coverage and defense; antitrust; products liability including pharmaceutical and device; mass tort and class action representation; securities and shareholder litigation; directors and officers liability; corporate governance and investigations; FTC investigation and litigation,  professional liability, including lawyers, physicians, architects and engineers, and insurance professionals; general employment;  complex and catastrophic personal injury.

Jon specializes in complex insurance coverage, including litigation, settlement and advice, and he represents policyholders and carriers, with a particular emphasis on director's and officer's coverage, and investment fund coverage (hedge and private equity funds).  He has assisted companies in structuring their insurance programs and in ensuring that policy wording matches policy intent.  In that vein, he regularly interfaces with his clients' insurance brokers and very frequently improves the scope of coverage.  He has also worked with companies concerning liability and insurance issues in corporate acquisitions, divestiture, and corporate reorganizations.  He has recovered millions of dollars in coverage for his policyholder clients.  Conversely, he has saved millions of dollars for his insurer clients.
