Our lawyers and services are frequently recognized by other members and organizations within our community. Our lawyers are also honored by civic and educational organizations for their dedication to public service.
Attorneys from DMOC were recently named to the Connecticut Super Lawyers list for 2011/2012 and the Super Lawyers “Connecticut Rising Stars 2011/2012” list. Recognized attorneys and their areas of practice include the following: Richard E. Castiglioni (Connecticut Super Lawyer, Civil Litigation Defense, General Litigation, Family Law) Jonathan P. Whitcomb (Connecticut Super Lawyer, Insurance Coverage, Civil Litigation Defense) Jonathan J. Kelson (Connecticut Rising Star, Business Litigation) The list of attorneys selected to Connecticut Super Lawyers appears in the November 2011 issue of New England Super Lawyers magazine, and the special section appearing in the February 2012 issue of Connecticut Magazine. Super Lawyers selects attorneys using a rigorous, multiphase rating process. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis, and the final published Super Lawyers list represents no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement: verdicts and settlements; transactions; representative clients; experience; honors and awards; special licenses and certifications; position within law firm; bar and or other professional activity; pro bono and community service as a lawyer; scholarly lectures and writings; education and employment background; and other outstanding achievements. The selection process for Rising Stars is the same as the Super Lawyers selection process, except that candidates must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for ten years or less, and candidates do not go through the process of peer evaluation by practice area.
